Adams dollar coins

who bought any of the adams $1 coins today. I had bought two rolls of washington and I bought four rolls of these. worst case scenario I can always spend them.

today they are being sold on ebay for a $4 markup.

question: all my rolls from banks are from P. How do I get D rolls for face? I aint payin no markup.

Same here...

ONly thing I can suggest is to find someone in an area that gets its coins from the Denver mint and trade or have them buy and ship them to you...

I just wait until my local bank has them. I bought 3 rolls of the GW coins at no premium from the bank, spent 2 and kept 1. I plan to keep the same pattern through the other releases.

Can think of no reason to pay a premium since the local banks have them.

I would like to see a lot of people buying these coins (at no premium) and putting them in circulation to make the general public more aware of the value of coins.

Many in circulation ain't gonna happen IMO. Nobody is going to like to carry and spend these anymore than they did the SBA's and Sac's.

The ones people get they'll be saving so they or there grandkids can make a "killing" in years to come...just like they're doing with the state quarters.

I don't think any of the non-proof coins are ever going to be worth much of anything...too many of them being saved.
